Our Story
Legacy Physicians is owned and managed by board-certified Internal Medicine physician Corinne Rao, M.D. For more than 20 years Dr. Rao has advocated for high-quality patient care as a hospitalist physician and through many hospital administrative leadership positions. Dr. Rao is intimately familiar with hospital physician staffing needs and knows well the impact that appropriate physician staffing can mean for patient care. As the COVID-19 pandemic raged, Dr. Rao launched Legacy Physicians to help hospitals solve their staffing challenges and reduce their high costs related to large staffing and recruiting agencies. At the same time, we choose to empower physicians by finding them opportunities to enjoy practicing medicine and decrease stress, burnout, and fatigue by being able to have schedules with flexibility.
As the Legacy Physicians story begins its hospital partner client roster is growing rapidly and its bench of experienced hospitalist physician providers is deepening. Every day Legacy Physicians is helping more patients achieve positive outcomes.

I am an Emergency Physician and worked with Dr. Rao for several years at Mercy Lebanon where she was a Hospitalist. It was always a pleasure to work with her.
